It’s been reported on social media that the Chicago Symphony held an internal audition for this position, and contrabassoonist Miles Maner has won following a successful trial.
That's impossible!!!!! I thought he would stay on Contrabassoon and bassoon and one of those days eventually retire as bassoon and contrabassoon
