Audition Results

From a candidate pov, why put yourself through months of prep for an audition, then make a second trip to play a trial, if you aren’t actually gonna take the job? Or was the experience of playing the trial so poor that you change your mind about it?

From the committee’s pov, it’s pretty demoralizing to go thru an entire process and choose a winner, only for them to back out after they get the offer. Been there before and it’s a pretty lame situation, even if they’re doing it for a good reason.

Hope they are able to find a new winner among the remaining candidates.
