The Baltimore management and whoever headed the committee for this audition contacted many players from other βtopβ orchestras inviting them to do trial weeks for this latest version of an βauditionβ for this position. Most turned them down because itβs pretty known that Nina DeCesare won the audition but for whatever reason β¦ didnβt get the position. Happy for Ha Young Jung, though.

I presume it would be higher for other instruments, but Calgary is very isolated and traveling to auditions is just a lot harder and more expensive for bassists.
