Orchestra I'm auditioning for auto-advanced me to semis because of my resumé, but I think it was an accident.
For example, being a member of a London Symphony Orchestra (regional), but not the London Symphony Orchestra. My resumé makes it pretty clear I'm with a former, not latter.
I'm considering following up with management to clarify this wasn't an accident, but second opinions are welcome.
Each participant had to submit a resume and record a specific portion of the program; otherwise, the application would not be approved.
I have also been auto-advanced (probably) by mistake. This was for a full time orchestra, and at the time I hadn't even held a regional orchestra position, only subbed with a few small regional groups. Stuff falls through the cracks sometimes.
Resume stated the orchestra’s full name, the city and state. I also have my city of residence which is one county over so I assume it’s an oversight on their end.
How was it listed on your resume? For example did you say you're a member of a specific ensemble located in London or just said you were part of "A London Symphony"?
Do not follow up. Practice instead, if you want the job.
